Admission to the St. Ignatius seminary program is on a rolling basis. Some classes that are delivered fully by video presentation may be started at any time. Other classes which include video conference lecture or discussion will have registration deadlines.

The application fee is currently waived. To apply please complete the online application form or download the Application for Admission and return it by email or regular mail. Once your application is complete, you will be advised of your admission status.

New Students

New students will need to complete the application. If you are interested in clerical formation, you will need to include a letter of recommendation from your parish priest and and acknowledgement form from your bishop.

Note: If free non-credit courses are offered, no application is needed to complete those courses. You may register by creating a free student account.

Transfer Students

In addition to completing the application, students who have previously enrolled in a distance or site based seminary program will need to provide sealed transcripts from each prior institution. The transcript should be mailed directly from the institution to St. Ignatius seminary. The applicant is responsible for all costs of obtaining the transcript.

Returning Students

Students who have been previously enrolled at St. Ignatius but have not undertaken enrollment in the last 18 months will need to request reinstatement by letter. Depending on the student’s status at the time of last enrollment, additional information may be requested to determine the reinstatement request.
